Persistence is one of the most cited traits of the richest people. Day in day out they just continue to work. They never stop believing in themselves and in their businesses. Even with the great problems and challenges that come their way, they still face the day with great determination.
The richest people just continued to work even if the results were not showing up. They don't care even if it would take years before the rewards will come up. They seem to know for certain that someday in the near future the rewards will just come nonstop.
The thing is they're right! How did they know that in the first place? Did they think of giving up just for once?
Well, maybe they thought of giving up somewhere along the way. But they actually didn't. Or maybe we didn't know that they already gave up on something?
The rich people are pursuing dozens of opportunities. They work hard day and night and see what works. They know that some will fail. But they also know that a few will take huge success. They also know which ones to stop. They know when to give up and what to give up.
It's hard to give up because it's hard to think of all those time, money and effort to get wasted. The thing is it's also hard to think about wasting more time, money and effort on a project that gets nowhere. So how do you know when to give up? Or the more relevant question is: What would you give up?
If you're sure that more time, effort and money will be wasted on a certain project, you should just give it up and move on. If you exhausted all the options about the project, you should expect that no miracle can save it. Just move on and give it up. Another thing is that you should know what results are you expecting from that project. If the results didn't show up and you know for yourself that the results won't show up for another decade, maybe it's time for you to give it up. If you gave up on one, you would have more time to pursue other projects that look more promising.
If you carefully chose what to gave up, you will notice that you now have more time and resources to pursue other opportunities. Giving up doesn't mean it's the end of the world. It's just one way to start again or to put more effort on others that look more promising.
